These images are part of an exhibit currently on view at the Athenaeum Gallery in Alexandria, VA. A Statement regarding the abstract images in this show: By isolating details out of a larger picture and changing them with feeling and vitality, I have established an intimacy with certain subject matter. In that abstractions are often unrecognizable as objects, I view them as objects in themselves.  The image "is" the object, an entity in itself. Abstraction also extends the amorphous nature of feeling itself.  Where words can fail, a "thing" or an object can describe a feeling or, at times, a feeling can better be described by a gesture or a sound. In my mind, there is a confluence of sound, gesture and object that exist on a non-verbal plane.  IL MURO(THE WALL)IL MURO(THE WALL)IL MURO(THE WALL)IL MURO(THE WALL)IL MURO(THE WALL)IL MURO(THE WALL)DETAIL 1IL MURO(THE WALL)DETAIL 2RESURFACE 2RESURFACE 1LETTERS REDUXLETTERS REDUXLETTERS REDUXLETTERS REDUXLETTERS REDUXRED 1RED 2RED 3ENIGMA #1ENIGMA #2RADIATOR #5(2/10)RADIATOR #1(2/10)RADIATOR #3RADIATOR #4 (1/10)BLUE LINE SERIES #1BLUE LINE SERIES #2BLUE LINE SERIES #3BLUE LINE SERIES #4TRACESTHE WAVEB-BALL
